10 & Under Players:
This is a qualifying tournament for the 2018 10 & Under Green
Ball Sectional Championship.
Please note players must be a finalist or winner in order to
qualify for this event.
Each player in the 10s will get 5 matches.
Rounds 1-3 are on Saturday,
Rounds 4-5 and Final Round (Not posted) on Sunday.
Each player will get 1 bye during pool play.
Scoring for u10 singles: Best of 3 short sets.
The best of 3 short sets with a 7-Point Tiebreak played in lieu of
the 3rd set
A short set whereby the first player to win 4 games wins the
set.
If players are tied at 4 - 4, the 7-point Tiebreak is played.
No ad scoring.
The rest time is 30 minutes between matches, but players can go
sooner if both players agree.
Tournament will be held at Countryside Country Club.

Check-in will be between courts 4-5 due to the re-roofing of
our Pro-Shop. Please arrive 15 minuets before your scheduled match
time. Once checked in, your match maybe started depending on court
availability. The Point Penalty System Schedule for lateness will
be enforced. You may find the Point Penalty System in the USTA
Friend at Court (Link Below).

Ball- Penn Marathon balls will be used for all yellow ball
divisions.
ALL DRAWS WILL BE POSTED FRIDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE THE
TOURNAMENT
Please be sure to bring water/Gatorade/ice.
There are water fountains on the courts and an ice machine located
in the breezeway by the Pro Shop.
Dress Code
No cut off shirts or compression short/pants only are allowed per
club rules, however they may be worn under shorts or skirts.
TIPS FOR PLAYERS
1-Introduce yourself to your opponent.
2-Call the balls & score out loud throughout the match. Your
parents or other watching can't help you with the score.
3-Before serving, be sure that your opponent is ready to
play.
4-Be courteous. Talk quietly. Don't walk across the back of another
court to get a ball until the players finish the point.
5-Keep a positive attitude in the game. Don't stall, pout or
complain. Never throw your racquet.
6-No cell phones are allowed on the court.
7-Have a good match!
Don't forget to report the score, give the balls back and find out
your next match time.
TIPS FOR PARENTS
1-Parents must not talk to players during the match.
2-No player may receive any form of coaching by any person while
the match is in progress. Coaching is allowed between the 2nd set
and match tiebreak but the player cannot leave the court.
3-No abusive behavior is permitted toward a tournament official or
player by parents, relatives, coaches, or other persons associated
with the player.
4-Accept the players' line calls, whether you believe they are
correct or not. Clap for good shots on both sides and be
particularly careful not to clap for mistakes (e.g. double
faults).
5-Parents should enjoy the company of other parents and support all
players.
6-Let your child play the match and have fun.
7-Enjoy the match!
NO SMOKING
As a ClubCorp facility, no smoking is allowed at Countryside
Country Club Tennis Center.
AWARDS - 1st and 2nd place.
REFUNDS - No refunds will be given after the entry
deadline.
SPECTATORS
Although there is some seating near the courts, spectators may want
to bring chairs for more comfortable viewing, around the fence
line. Players and tournament staff are the only ones permitted on
the court.
